Frequently asked questions

AI citation analysis questions

What does Dageno AI Citation Analysis show?

It lists websites and exact pages cited in the selected AI answers. Compare citation counts and see which brands appear in those answers. Use AI URL Citation Tracking when you want to follow only specific saved pages.

Does an AI citation mean the brand was mentioned or recommended?

No. A citation is a link to a source page. The answer may still leave out the brand or not recommend it. The citation also does not prove that anyone clicked or bought anything.

How is source answer coverage calculated?

Divide the number of analyzed answers citing the source by the total analyzed answers, then multiply by 100. Use the same market, model, region, questions, and dates.

Why can a source have more citations than citing answers?

One answer may cite several pages from the same website or cite the source more than once. Citation count counts each use; answer coverage counts answers that contain the source.
